With rising energy costs and the continued threat of global warming, it is now more clear than ever that we must act to reduce our carbon footprints. Renpower can help you work with architects and developers to deliver modern, renewable power sources to your home using the latest technology.

Solar Power

Silent and virtually maintenance free, solar technology is a perfect choice for domestic installations. There are three principal types of system that are usually considered; these are:

  • Solar PV (Photovoltaics)
These panels convert sunlight into electricity that can be used by lighting and appliances within your home. They either augment or replace the electricity consumed from the national grid and can therefore reduce your electricity bills.

  • Solar Thermal
These systems comprise of panels or tubes that heat the water in your home. They are not connected to the central heating system and so cannot be used to heat the home.

  • Hybrid
These systems both heat water and produce electricity.

Renpower are specialists in the design, supply and commissioning of solar PV systems. We can offer Solar systems in a variety of packages: building mounted, roof integrated or wall mounted. We offer a complete service and can help with potential planning issues and grant applications.

Wind Power

Wind turbines are, at present, the most cost effective method of producing renewable energy. Unfortunately, the way in which these units work means that they are not usually suitable for installation on domestic properties. For example, it would not be cost effective to install a wall mounted turbine in an urban housing estate. It is likely that the only advantage of a turbine in this situation would be to promote a desire to affect global warming.

Not all domestic properties are in urban housing estates. If your home is set in larger grounds where a mast mounted turbine can be installed then the possibility exists of successfully harnessing he wind. If this is your situation, then contact us for an assessment of the potential of your property.
